President Elect Barack Obama can lead the way. The United State Congress will act, the senate is open: Abolishing the embargo on Cuba is the beginning of our generations transformation towards "a world that works for everyone, with no one left out".
“Yes we can - Now we must” act to ensure the U.S. embargo on Cuba is abolished during the first 100 days of the Obama administration. There is no warranted, qualified, logical or moral reason for the United States of America to waste our financial resources, human efforts and reputation on maintaining a policy on Cuba that is a proven failure for 50 years.
It is globally recognized that both Cuba and America's policies towards each other have failed. Now we must act as "The Nation of the people, for the people" and eliminate the political practices that perpetuate separation, elitists, hate, greed, and war that continue to destroy humanity. The instant benefits to the U.S.A. by opening itself to the people of Cuba is very clear. The continued cost of a 50 year old failed Cuba policy must end. America needs to export the principles of freedom by "invading" Cuba with tourist, commerce and a mature political process that is inclusive verse separatist.
Abolishing the embargo against Cuba in the first 100 days is the best direction for America, Cuba and the world.
